TLC Soil Renovation
The foundation of a lawn is the soil it grows from. The better the soil, the better the grass.

Revive Your Lawn From the Ground Up
Why Choose Soil Renovation?
Reduced Runoff
Improved filtration protects our streams and private wells from pollutants.
Water Efficiency
Your soil acts as a sponge, holding moisture for future use and reducing irrigation needs.
Deep Root Growth
Better oxygen and water transfer allow roots to reach deeper, locking in vital nutrients.
Fewer Chemicals
A healthy lawn naturally requires fewer fertilizers and pesticides.
Our Proven 4-Step Process
We’ve spent 30 years refining our method to ensure the best results for residential lawns.
01 | Utility Location
We identify all underground infrastructure, such as fiber optics, before we begin.
02 | The "Prep" Mow
We cut the grass to a precise 2” height so it stands tall through the compost rather than being smothered.
03 | High-Density Aerification
We create space within the soil. Using specialized greens-grade equipment, we pull 4” deep cores spaced just 2” apart. This creates 36 holes per square foot—6x more than standard aeration.
04 | Compost Injection
We topdress with low-moisture, screened organic compost and rake it directly into the perforations. This places the nutrients where they belong (in the root zone) rather than on the surface where they could wash away.
The TLC Difference: Beyond "Deep Tine"
Many local Soil Quality Restoration (SQR) programs specify “Deep Tine Aeration.” This terminology is misleading because deep tine aerators are often tractor-powered and too large for residential yards or sloping grades.
Because we use specialized equipment, we can achieve superior results in a residential setting. While others use standard aerators that only provide 6 shallow holes per square foot, our high-density approach targets the root zone more effectively, providing the “fix” your soil actually needs.
